New Yamaha 450 Quad???

Has anybody heard anything about these things? Are they holding up? Anybody got one yet?

There was one at Glen Helen and it out ran every C-dale.

Merriman is getting one. It'll probably be in around mid-July. He snagged the last one available that the dealer is getting out of the first batch. He's getting a blue one. They look sooo sweet, Cochise Motorsports has one of the red ones in right now. I think its going to be there for like 2 weeks before the buyer picks it up.

right now, unless you paid in cash, you're looking at about 8000 to walk out the door with one. If i decide to get one i'm gonna walk into the dealer in rye and wave 6500 cash in their faces and see what i get :D

waving cash in there face won't get you anywhere. They make their money on financing and the additional charges. But 6500.00 cash will be quite a down payment, and you'll probably only owe a grand. Mine was 7503.22 out the door. I was going to pay straight cash too, but they were not going to budge on the price so I decided to finance some to build credit. The rest will be spent in aftermarket parts :eek: :eek:

i think i can get one cheaper than that because i don't think you have to pay sales tax at the dealer in rye, not sure tho.

Well all the dealers in Az want way too much, so we're looking into out of state dealers now, i'll let you guys know what i end up doing.

Paul if you wanted one you should have ordered one last week most shops are 1 to 4 months sold out all ready. I bought one of the first ones from four seasons in Rye. $7500.00 out the door & it will not be here untell next week or the week after. I work in northern Cali so last week I went to three very large Yamaha dealerships; One told me $8800.00 out the door and at least two month wait the others said $9000.00 to $9800.00 out the door with the same wait if not longer. PRICE VS DEMAND

we bought our truck in oregon. i think theres no sales tax and a few less other taxes... you might look at a dealer there.... even though it would SUCK getting it down here

bob i know all about four seasons, you bought the one i was going to get. Lets just say i have found a MUCH better deal from a dealer in new york, and it's gonna cost about 500 to get it shipped here but it will be VERY worth it.

Look up www.motorcycle-brokers.com they have them for $6999.00 shipped to a warehouse out in Phoenix, this is the same place where we buy the CRF450 motorcyles to part out into the quads.

i have a yfz 450 and it's faster than my mx 250r i raced it at mg the same night kory ellis was there and took first in the amt class and got theholeshot both motos

it hasn't broke down yet but i've only had mine for a week

thats awesome. they sound like really strong machines, its cool that the manufacturers are stepping it up. anyone hear anything on honda? 450?

I just picked one up 7300 otd at outdoor sports in prescott.this thing is bada$$.

7100 out the door in baycity here. I haven't seen any at our local tracks or trail area's yet though.

I'm thinking about picking up one of theses in a year or two also, depending on how well they hold up. It's a great motor, as long as there isn't a wooduff key issue like the wr 450's had. That's the reason I picked up a left-over 426. Almost every mich 450 owner I've heard from had problems with this.

Everything else looks pretty solid to me, and having rebuildable shocks as oem equipment is always a pluss.:cool:

I'm just waiting on Honda - I have a feeling they are going to put out something really really cool....;)

i think i'm gonna go put a depoist down on one of the new hondas this week... That way when it comes, if i like it, i'll get it, if not i'll get the yamahopper

my first ride on this was sunday.it really hauls and the suspension is bar none the best of any quad i have ridden.
